What can you do?
The excerpt deals with a few simple yet effective tips that can assist you in controlling stress at home; trust me there would be no hassle and no strain – peace and relaxation only.
- Try to figure out the bothering part;
You won’t find yourself in a stress until and unless things are messed up around you. You must identify the stress as the first basic top. The reason may differ from one individual to another according to the role he is playing – may be you are stressed because of the extra workload, or you are facing a complicated relationship situation or may be your financial condition is the reason. Once clear on this, you would be having an idea about what to do next in order to counter its effect.
- Work on factors that are under control:
You must check for possibilities – true, you cannot do anything about the growing inflation or your rude boss, but you can always cope-up with the situation. Things go wrong when one intends to take part in something that lies out of control. This is the time when one feels absolutely hopeless and fear, anxiety takes over him – it causes severe stress leading to depression.
If you start working on the factors which are controllable, nothing would ever affect your mind. For example, if you are worried about your due assignment next week, you can simply talk to the boss and get the task divided or at least extend the deadline in a manner that things remain fine.
Self confidence and empowerment helps in killing stress.
- Take out time for yourself:
Even if you are too busy, you must take out some time for things that you love doing. Your world must be enriched with fun, excitement and things of your choice. If not really, then try putting yourself in new valuable experiences so that life retains its colors. You won’t ever feel stressed by doing so.
- Time management is the key:
Those who fail to value time remain stressed every time – their habit of procrastination destroys their peace and comfort. The to-do list keeps on getting longer and longer and responsibilities kill one automatically. Those who manage their time well remain happy and satisfied, so no stress.
- Pick off extra responsibilities:
You must be practical towards life – try keeping yourself away from extra or unwanted activities. For example, if you cannot live up to what you said or someone’s trying to influence your decision, learn to say ‘NO’ right away. If you won’t do that, the stress would be ready to welcome you. This happens to me lots of time as well – tell your friends not to visit at odd timings, this is really normal because if you are not prepared, you would feel stressed for no good reason.
Lastly, you must put yourself in something that helps brain to think even better. Remain close to nature, do exercises, eat well and moreover, think well – eventually stress would feel bad and leave your life forever.
